Soon after finishing his studies, Pablo started working as a graphic designer for different magazines. This, however, only lasted five years, since total boredom drove him back to his first passion – illustrations. Today, Pablo has made quite a name for him self in Argentina where he lives and works.

Dear Pablo,
I’m a Canadian book artist living in London and have noticed your work in some of my favourite American magazines (The New Yorker, Rolling Stone). Just wanted to let you know I’m a real fan, your images really capture an energy and strange spirit of the way the world looks inside the mind. Very jazzy.
I’m wondering though, do you work up the images as computer files (Photoshop, Illustrator??) or as old fashioned cut and paste, (or some other physical format) before scanning them?

Hey Meg. Sorry for getting back to you so late. I always do the sketches with pencil on paper, Then I scan them and retrace the illo on illustrator. I will post a comp´lete tutotial sometime. Thanks for your kind words

Estimado Pablo,
Desde la Biblioteca Jaume Perich i Escala (Premià de Dalt, Barcelona), especializada en cómic político y humorismo gráfico, estamos elaborando una página web para promocionar esta sección de nuestro fondo. La sección nació en el 2006 gracias al legado de libros de cómic de Jaume Perich, que fue vecino de nuestro municipio, y en los últimos años hemos aumentado la colección hasta reunir cerca de 2.000 ejemplares. Gracias también a la entrega del Premi Internacional d’Humor Gat Perich en Premià de Dalt, nos hemos dado a conocer un poco más.
El objetivo de esta página web es reunir los muchos y excelentes recursos que existen en Internet sobre la materia, procurando sistematizarlos. Está dirigido tanto al navegante que quiere reírse cada día con una buena viñeta, como a quienes desean profundizar en algún tema específico.
Nos gustaría poder incluir de vez en cuando alguna viñeta suya en la página inicial; viñeta que será renovada de forma periódica con la de otros dibujantes. Al pie de la misma quedarían indicados el nombre del autor y la fuente electrónica. En todo caso preferimos no utilizar ningún dibujo sin la conformidad expresa del autor.

I’m amazed how much of an impression your work made on me.
First time I saw it was 3 minutes ago on WIRED.com (http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/multimedia/2009/08/pl_playlist) and it was the reason I clicked on the article. Even more inspired by your story of rekindling your original creative passion.
As a relatively recent graduate of the graphic arts, I too was a born illustrator and can understand your position.
Love your work and genuinely, wish your even MORE success (you seem to have killed it already!) and look forward to further updates of your work.
